I found a site that lists many places where you can find music to download for videos and such. It is splicemusic.com. From the list, kazaa.com appears to have popular songs available for free and leagal download. Hope this helps. I look forward to seeing the ways you incorporate these tools next year. I'm a bit overwhelmed, but hoping to start off slowly but surely.

I know what you mean by spending so much time going through the information in this course. There's so much out there. I am lucky that my teaching partner is going through this course with me so that we can process this information together.

I enjoyed the archeological tunnel video... One of the Bluebonnet Books is about a family of archeologists. The children travel through a secret tunnel beneath a Mayan pyramid. This could really help students visualize the setting. Thank you for sharing!

I love your blog. It is really eye catching and makes the reader feel they know a part of you without reading your profile. I was excited to read about the social studies links you have feeding your reader. I've been assigned DAEP with teaching social studies. I have been so preoccupied with the DAEP part I have not looked at what's happening this summer in my teaching field. I am going to look up the RSS you have and see what I can get out of them. Good job! If you hit on some DAEP ideas and solutions let me know.

marykay: I was thinking the same thing. These guys aren't the ones posting all of that. (I at least hope they aren't.) If they are spending that much time commenting on Twitter, it's scary to think about the things that should be getting done in that time. :)

I hear what you are saying and agree whole-heartedly. Although I cannot say that I understand what going "from the classroom to the hallway" actually means, I guess it is because I again assume what you said about "extending the classroom." I love your explanation that we should be guiding the students. I would assume that others would do that, but it is an important point not addressed in the readings. What we should be teaching about technology will be relevant to what students do with technology throughout their day. Our guidance will be utilized and integrated by the majority.
